The Blackhawk HH60L Medical Helicopter is used extensively by the US Army for the medical evacuation of injured soldiers. It also allows The National Guard to provide domestic life-saving services to the civilian population in times of national crisis. The Blackhawk HH60L was one of the greatest assets the National Guard had at their disposal during Hurricane Katrina as part of the overall rescue mission.
